The Abbaye Notre-Dame d’Orval is located in the southern tip of Belgium.  It is a place of great peace and beauty and also happens to make one of the finest beers in the world (the cheese is pretty amazing too).  The current monastery was built next to the ruins of the original monastery destroyed during the French Revolution.

love your pictures! they’re so gorgeous and well done. I love the one of the bed and picture on the wall… it’s something I would frame and hang in my house. keep it up!

    • Sarah,

Thank you so much! The picture of the bed is the room where I slept while staying at the monastery. If you really are so fond of it, I’d be happy to send you a copy. You can send your address to jason_visco@yahoo.com and I’ll put it in the mail sometime over the next couple of weeks.
